Items you will need to provide

Linen:3 Navy Hand Towel & 1 Navy Bath Sheet (if you can’t get navy, dark blue or black)
Stationery: Clipboard/Pens/pencils/highlighter markers
Uniform: Black Trousers, Black or Pink Shoes (flat with enclosed toes)
Sundries: Optional additional products for home practice as required.

Nail technician: Nail stations in salons, spas, hairdressers, department stores or working from home!

Information

The certificate in nail treatments is a great way to enter into the world of Beauty therapy, as with all our modular courses you can do this as a standalone qualification or use it as a building block to form a full diploma! Either way you can work from.

This course consists of the following: Manicure & Pedicure, Nail art, Fake tan, Sales skills, Consultation skills, Health & Safety and related Anatomy & Physiology!

Qualification Structure

Manicure treatments

• Prepare for and provide manicure treatments
• French polish, paraffin wax treatments, hot oil and hot mitts

Pedicure treatments

• Prepare for and provide pedicure treatments
• Specialised treatments, hot oil, paraffin wax, and French polish

Provide Nail Art

• Prepare for & provide nail art treatment
• Using; Coloured polishes , Rhinestones , Flatstones , Glitters , Transfers
• Dealing with clients’ payments

Client care and communication in beauty-related industries

• Hear you will learn to develop your communication skills
• Deal with enquiries, retail, consultation, complaints and all forms of client care.

Display stock to promote sales in a salon

• Preparing, maintaining and dismantling an area for displaying promotional materials in the salon

Health and safety practice in the salon

• Is about being aware of the risks in the workplace
• Knowing how to identify them, and taking responsibility to deal with them

Anatomy & Physiology

• Study of the skin and the nail as they relate to nail therapist.
